![]() ![]() Photographer Astrid Templier curated a really sweet look by adding small touches - a pile of books, a vase of flowers, and - of course - a fairly long exposure. ![]() It was late afternoon and the light was just starting to fade when we took this picture, in a guest bedroom in a family home in Buckinghamshire, so we needed all the tricks we could use to make the most of the day. We are so lucky to work with some of the most talented interiors photographers in the industry and I wanted to show you just a snippet of what goes in to getting the perfect shot. Shoot day is so much more than just pointing and clicking. This project was a real labour of love, over many months restoring a tired, listed Georgian townhouse into the perfect home for its new owner.Ī key part of the works was to restore all elements of architectural detail that had been lost over time, reinstating panelling, cornicing, fireplaces, appropriate flooring and the like, whilst retaining the plan form of the original house when first built and making it fit for modern day living. Thank you to Hatta Byng and David Nicholls for selecting this property, Paul Massey for the brilliant photographs and George Upton for writing about it so wonderfully. ![]() ‘Return to Form….’ We are delighted to feature in the March issue of House and Garden magazine from Condé Nast Britain showcasing a wonderful London townhouse project. ![]()
